California Athletic Trainers go Live on Facebook with the Dude Mom
On October 11, FWATA athletic trainers Katie Susskind Risso MAT, ATC and Lauren Hoyt MAT, ATC joined social media influencer Amanda Rodriquez (better known as the Dude Mom) for a Facebook Live Q&A event about youth concussions. The event, Concussions 101: What Parents Need to Know, was geared toward parents and school administrators and touched on the importance of athletic trainers in every secondary school, common misconceptions about concussions, basic concussion facts, new technologies in the field, and much more.
