His charisma makes you want to learn and be around him whether it’s simply to assist or have a fun conversation. The way he recalls information at the drop of a hat is truly amazing! Juan shows he really cares for his athlete’s well-being, as well as his students. He makes the Fullerton College athletic training room a second home. He not only goes above and beyond to have the athletes physically ready but makes sure they are mentally prepared to go back on the field. There are so many deserving and extremely hard-working ATs all over our district, and I’m eternally grateful for such a tremendous honor. I love athletic training, I love the joy on my athletes’ faces when they receive the care we provide, and I especially love seeing my former students succeed in our profession. Having been recognized by my peers ensures that the hard work we put forth does not go unnoticed. A heartfelt thank you once again for this special recognition.”
