UNLV Rebel Athletic Training Society at Work

On October 25th, Members of the UNLV Rebel Athletic Training Society (RATS) members were on site during the Las Vegas Cancer Awareness walk to ensure the route was clean and safe for the walkers and acted as first aid responders in case of an emergency. The walk had 15,000+ attendees and raised over $700,000 for the cause.

RATS members also hosted Boo BASH at UNLV. A UNLV tradition housed in The Tonopah Complex; volunteers from the UNLV community set up games and activities to create a carnival-like atmosphere for the local youth. Children from surrounding elementary and middle schools as well as youth shelters’ Shade Tree and SafeNest participated in the Boo BASH. RATS saw over 500 kids at their game “Pin the Tail on the Werewolf.”
