Celine Estrada Wins Excellence In Athletic Training Award

The FWATA Public Relations Committee is pleased to announce the winter quarter winner of the Excellence in Athletic Training Award. Each quarter, the Excellence in Athletic Training Award celebrates District 8 athletic trainers or athletic training student members who display an exceptional commitment to mentoring, professional development or enhancing the quality of health care.

This quarter’s winner is athletic training student Celine Estrada. Celine completed her undergraduate athletic training degree from San Jose State this past semester. She was nominated by another athletic training student who was impressed with Celine’s efforts to get more athletic training students involved in the profession and her willingness to network with other professionals.

Celine was quoted as saying, “Students really are the future of this profession, and I hope I can inspire current and future students to get involved. Nothing has been more rewarding to me than getting involved at the campus level, state level, and district level. I can’t express how much of an honor it is to receive this award. To be selected among the amazing pool of athletic trainers and athletic training students District 8 has to offer… mind-blowing! I would have never thought to see myself at the receiving end of this award, especially as an athletic training student.

Please join us in congratulating Celine on winning the Excellence in Athletic Training Award!
