Hawaii Ethnic Diversity Advisory Committee “Be the Match”

On November 18th 2018, Hawaii Ethnic Diversity Advisory Committee (EDAC) collaborated with Be the Match to promote awareness and help rally to increase the need for bone marrow donors at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa Rainbow Wahine basketball game. Be The Match works every day to save lives through transplant. For the thousands of people diagnosed every year with life-threatening blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma, a cure exists. Over the past 30 years Be The Match, operated by the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP), has managed the largest and most diverse marrow registry in the world. EDAC and Be The Match members educated people about the bone marrow transplant and safety of NMDP. For more information about Be The Match:  https://bethematch.org/
