2015 Athletes Saving Athletes 2nd Annual Walk/Jog Fundraiser Wrapup
Advocates for Injured Athletes (A4IA) hosted their 2nd Annual “Relay the Message” Walk/Jog-a-thon on May 2nd at Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego CA. This year’s message was to Speak Up about concussion signs and symptoms. Along with the walk, there were booths with information on concussions, heat illnesses and sudden cardiac arrest.
Approximately ~175 participants including San Diego Athletic Trainers, UC San Diego Sports Medicine Department, and multiple high school students and athletic teams showed up to support the cause of Speaking Up and for the profession of athletic training. Thank you to Beth Mallon, co-founder of A4IA, for putting on another great event!
