20 CEUs total (15 Category A CEUs and 5 EBP CEUs) will be offered for the 2016 Annual Meeting & Clinical Symposium.
Each registrant will receive one Certificate of Attendance for up to 15 Category A CEUs. Up to five (5) additional EBP CEUs* will be available to ATCs at no additional cost.
* In accordance with BOC guidelines, attendees must pre-register, check-in, attend, and complete a session evaluation form in order to earn and receive the EBP CEUs. The EBP CEU Certificates of Attendance will be available at the conclusion of each Evidence Based Practice session.
Additional pre-conference CEUs are also scheduled to be available Tuesday, July 12, 2016.

The FWATA Annual Meeting is intended primarily for Certified Athletic Trainers but will also have pertinent information and content for other health care providers. Sessions at this meeting will cover all 5 domains of athletic training: Injury/Illness Prevention and Wellness, Clinical Evaluation and Diagnosis, Immediate and Emergency Care, Treatment and Rehabilitation, and Organization and Professional Health and Well-Being. Educational sessions at this meeting, intended for Certified Athletic Trainers, according to the education levels described by the PDC, are considered to be Essential/Advanced/Mastery Level programming.
There will also be sessions designated for athletic training students. These sessions will primarily be composed of Essential Level programming.

The FWATA Research and Grants Committee conducts the Free Communications and Research Grants programs each year. For the awards competition in the Free Communications Program, the committee selects presentations from both the Peer Reviewed and Student Exchange Tracks to be judged and selected during the FWATA Annual Meeting; winners will receive awards ranging from $100 to $225. Additionally, the committee awards up to $3,000 each year for research grants. Proposals are due February 5 of each year for both Programs.

The Proposal Submission Deadline for the 2016 FWATA Annual Meeting and Clinical Symposium in Hawaii is December 1, 2015. Due to the established review process and programming deadlines of the Education Programming Committee, late submissions will not be accepted.
Pre-Registration rates are available until June 17, 2016 by 9:00pm PDT. Registration payments sent by mail must be postmarked by June 24, 2016. We are unable to accept purchase orders and can only accept Visa and Mastercard credit cards. Pre-Registraion Rates:

Cancellation and Refund Policy Refund requests must be sent in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org . If the request is made prior to refund deadline, FWATA will process your reimbursement no later than eight weeks after the last day of the Annual Meeting. Refunds will be issued in the same form as the payment received. FWATA will offer a full refund of registration fees up to one week prior (July 5, 2016 at 11:59pm) to the start of the Annual Meeting. Refunds requested within a week of the start of the Annual Meeting will be granted less a $25 administrative fee. No cancellations will be processed after the final day of the Annual Meeting.

Welcome Social and Luau
This year we are excited to bring our members and their families a traditional Hawaiian Luau onsite! The event will take place Wednesday, July 13 at 6:00pm, outdoors overlooking the exquisite views that surround the Sheraton Kona. Dinner and entertainment will be provided. All attendees and family members are welcome. There will be an additional cost to attend this event.
Annual FWATA Student Scholarship Golf Tournament
We will tee off Thursday, July 14, 2016. Location TBD. Lunch and check-in will begin at 12:00pm. Shotgun start at 1:00pm with dinner, awards and prizes to follow!
This program will be offered Tuesday, July 12th, 2016 from 6:30-9:30pm. Pre-Registration required. Additional fee required. Space is very limited. Open to certified members only. 3 additional CEUs.
A FWATA Symposium annual event, the exhibit hall will offer hands-on viewing of the latest in supplies and services in the sports medicine field. The exhibit hall will be open all day on Wednesday as well as Thursday morning for members to experience. Detailed hours will be posted as the event approaches.
Research and Grants Committee Poster Presentations
Presenters will be available to discuss their work (times to be posted when they become available). Posters will be displayed for viewing on Friday and Saturday.
FWATA Awards Dinner
The annual FWATA Awards Dinner will take place Friday, July 15 at 5:00pm. This ticketed event is included in your registration fees.
