District 8 encourages our membership to participate in NATM during the entire month of March. The NATA Public Relations Committee has developed weekly packages to assist ATs with promoting the profession and connecting with external stakeholders during National Athletic Training Month. Each package will focus on a specific target audience including the marketing, communications or PR department at your workplace, risk management/human resources, government officials and workplace/ community stakeholders. The packages will help you address needs and advocate for your profession in each of these areas. The committee has also prepared a sample calendar that corresponds to the information in the packages and includes each week’s suggested target audience and social media message.

Our NATM video, FWATA NATM 2017, will be played at several Women’s and Men’s Basketball Conference tournaments this month. Keep an eye out if you’re working or enjoying March Madness. If you want your institution to play the video please share the link or contact us.
