District 8 Adds American Samoa
In March of this year the FWATA PR Committee was introduced to the first athletic trainer in American Samoa. America Samoa is an unincorporated territory of the United States located in the South Pacific Ocean, southeast of Samoa. A graduate of the University of Hawaii, Manoa Florence Salesa is a native of American Samoa and is leading the charge of introducing athletic training to her community. Naturally District 8 was excited about hearing this story and went through the necessary steps to add American Samoa to the Far West Athletic Trainers Association. Now that it is official we want to welcome Florence and all future athletic training members to District 8.
