HATA Announces 2015 District 8 Representative

A Message from Sam Lee; President, Hawaii Athletic Trainers Association:

The Hawaii Athletic Trainers’ Association (HATA) recently held their elections for various offices; Louise Inafuku has been elected as the Hawaii representative to the Far West Athletic Trainers’ Association/District 8 (FWATA/D8). Louise comes to this office with much experience already as she has previously served HATA as a treasurer for two terms of her own and finished someone else’s term (total: five years), and most recently served as the HATA president for two terms (total four years); she has sat in on FWATA executive board meetings two out of the last three years and is familiar with and to those working on the FWATA executive board. Louise presided over HATA during the session in which Hawaii was granted state registration for athletic trainers; and was also recognized by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) Lifesaver Recognition Program this past year for her work in reviving one of her school’s baseball coaches with the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Louise has worked in both the public and private secondary school settings at her alma mater – McKinley High School and currently – at Iolani School. She also works part-time as a registered dietician.

I’m pleased to announce the 2015 Executive Board members:
