HATA Hosts Annual Student Athletic Training Aide Workshop
On Saturday, May 21st, the Hawaii Athletic Trainers’ Association held their annual student athletic training aide workshop at Kalaheo High School in Kailua. Activities included CPR hands-only training, fascial stretching, taping, splinting, and spine boarding.
Talks included the realities of life as an athletic trainer, surf competition health care coverage, and the new degree requirements for athletic training students. Students were also provided a potluck of food, a t-shirt, and opportunities to network. All of this culminated with a “Bubble Blitz Battle Ball Soccer tournament” amongst the 24 students from high schools across the state. We would also like to thank all of our speakers, workshop coordinators, and all of our volunteers.
