Hawaii’s First Annual Neuro-Huddle
On Friday, January 23rd, the Wilbur family hosted the first annual Neuro-Huddle conference at the University of Hawaii at Manoa Stan Sheriff Center. This event was supported by organizations including the Hawaii Concussion Awareness Management Program (HCAMP), the State of Hawaii Department of Education, and the State of Hawaii Department of Health Neurotrauma Supports. This forum was focused on the discussion of biomechanics, diagnosis, and treatment of Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) and Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE). The event was targeted to all medical professionals, including athletic trainers, who may be working with concussed athletes in any capacity.
