Liana Finer Wins Excellence in Athletic Training Award
The FWATA Public Relations Committee is pleased to announce the summer quarter winner of the Excellence in Athletic Training Award. Each quarter, the Excellence in Athletic Training Award celebrates District 8 athletic trainers or athletic training student members who display an exceptional commitment to mentoring, professional development or enhancing the quality of health care.
The quarter’s winner is Liana Finer, Athletic Trainer at Kailua High School in Kailua, Hawaii. Liana helped establish Kailua High School as a NATA 1st Team Safe Sports School. Her colleagues are always impressed with how Liana goes the extra mile in making sure her student athletes are well taken care of.
Finer was quoted as saying, “It’s difficult for me to put into words how grateful I am for this award. I have enjoyed being involved with this great profession and helping others whenever I can. I owe a lot to my preceptors for pushing me to get out of my shell when I was a student and I would like to thank everyone in the OIA and HATA who always encourage me to keep working hard while still having fun.”
Please join us in congratulating Liana on winning the Excellence in Athletic Training Award!
