NATA Foundation at FWATA and NATA

“Guess How Many Rolls of Pre-Wrap”

During the 2019 FWATA AMCS, the Foundation raised about $400 through the “Guess How Many Rolls of Pre-wrap” contest. Attendees were able to submit guesses based on the dollar amount of their donation … 1 guess for $1, 7 guesses for $5, or 7 guesses and a clue for $10. Varying prizes were available for t

he winning guess … while an exact guess was not submitted (484), Casey Wilson (Azusa Pacific University) wasthe winner with a guess of 480. In addition, all 484 rolls of pre-wrap were donated to local athletic trainers in support of their work at their schools. The Foundation thanks everyone that participated in the contest, donors that provided prizes, and the schools that provided the pre-wrap.

D8 Pay it Forward

During #FWATAAMCS2019, Foundation ambassadors and board members highlighted the value of the Foundation through the numerous resources made available and utilized by the membership. FWATA members were further challenged to join the Circle of Champions through the “D8 Pay it Forward” campaign” … twenty individuals were invited to receive $12 each to join the Circle of Champions … after one year elapses, if they see the value of the Foundation they are asked to continue with the program (and double their monthly donation to $2) or provide the same challenge to a colleague. Many FWATA members decided to forego the one year period by joining the Circle of Champions and using the $12 to challenge a colleague on site! We are excited for the opportunity to connect with our district members through the “D8 Pay it Forward” campaign and further the understanding and value of the Foundation.

We have five more envelopes of $12 to give out to D8 members interested in joining the Circle of Champions … contact Kavin Tsang (ktsang@fullerton.edu) if you would like to receive one of the remaining envelopes.

Thank you for supporting the NATA Foundation by being a member of the Circle of Champions … your recognition of the value provided by the Foundation is in-measurable and immensely impactful to advancing our profession.
