Oahu ATs Gather for State Leadership Forum
On Sunday, February 21st, athletic trainers from Oahu and neighbor islands gathered at the Koai’a Room in the PE complex of Kamehameha Kapalama Campus for the State Leadership Forum. The group enjoyed icebreakers, presentations and a networking lunch to help promote leadership within and beyond the Hawaii Athletic Trainers’ Association. The SLF has become an annual event for HATA and this year’s presenters included Alt Kagesa, Ross Oshiro and Al Chee, and aimed to discuss concepts of organizational and personal development, describe principle based standards, provide methods for ATs to foster collaboration and mentoring, and discuss strategic concepts to develop successful programs and increase collaboration.
