2015 Bailey-Arnheim Games Set for Sunday, March 8, 2015

The 2015 Bailey-Arnheim Games (BAGs) will take place at California State University Long Beach on Sunday, March 8, 2015. Start time 10:00AM.  Check out more about this event contact Evamarie Balderas, BAGs President and Coordinator at evamariebalderas@gmail.com

The “Bailey-Arnheim Games” are held in honor of the late Dan Bailey and Daniel D. Arnheim. Dan Bailey served as head athletic trainer at Long Beach State for 36 years and is considered a pioneer of the profession. Dr. Arnheim’s principles of athletic training have served as guidelines for almost half a century of athletic trainers.

This one-day event is a chance for athletic training students to represent their respective schools and programs and apply their knowledge and skills while competing in eight events related to the field of athletic training. The events are geared toward preparing the students for the BOC Certification Exam and will require skills in evaluation of injuries, taping, teamwork, problem solving, and other subjects of Athletic Training Program curricula.

In addition to the games, the students will attend and participate in workshops and lectures given by working professionals and educators. Also, they will be given the opportunity to network with professionals and peers without the high registration fees of conventions and conferences.
