FWATA Annual Meeting & Clinical Symposium Update
Aloha FWATA members!
We are definitely in unprecedented times with the COVID-19 pandemic. The FWATA Managing Board is working very closely with the FWATA AMCS Committee and we continue to monitor the rapidly changing situation associated with the pandemic. We will follow the guidance set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), Department of Health (DOH), and other government organizations. At this point, we are hopeful that we can proceed with our Annual Meeting and Clinical Symposium as scheduled in Kona, Hawai‘i on July 14-18, 2020.
In order for you to be better able to make plans, we wanted to inform you of a few decisions made at this point and our plan moving forward:
- The FWATA MB and AMCS Committee will make a final decision of the symposium status by May 31, 2020.
- Registration will remain open throughout, but we highly encourage people to hold off on registration until June 1st. We are moving to a single rate registration fee to allow people to register at a later date with no penalty.
- If you made your room reservation through the FWATA room block, we are working with the hotel regarding our cancellation policy. Updated information will be provided once it is available.
We appreciate your patience and understanding through this challenging time. The situation is unpredictable and continues to change rapidly, but the Managing Board is committed to keep you informed of our meeting status. Be safe and please remember to take care of yourselves and families!
