Stanford ATC Speaks at USPTA Convention
Katherine Susskind, an athletic training fellow at Stanford University, recently spoke at the United States Professional Tennis Association’s (USPTA) NorCal Convention which was held at Stanford University from January 18-20, 2014. Convention attendees were primarily tennis professionals and coaches, teaching tennis to people of various populations. Susskind’s presentation, “Injury Prevention and Wellness for Tennis of All Ages” focused on ways to prevent injury through proper warm up and cool down, muscle activation, and recognizing when to refer injuries to a sports medicine professional. It also covered injuries specific to the youth and elderly populations.
